Privacy Policy

Last updated September 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CoverageRoute collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use getcoverageroute.com, submit a coverage request, or apply to participate as an insurance professional or agency.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use CoverageRoute, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code and state, coverage interests, household size, estimated household-income range, current coverage status, desired timing, contact preference, and information you voluntarily provide. For agent and agency applicants, we may also collect licensing-related information such as an NPN, states, products, agency information, and business contact details.

We may also collect technical and marketing information such as page URL, referrer, campaign/UTM parameters, timestamps, and information reasonably needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and measure the service.

How we use information

We use information to process coverage requests; match or route requests to an appropriate licensed insurance professional or agency; communicate about a request; verify lead quality and consumer-request activity; operate agent accounts, billing, credits, and disputes; prevent fraud and abuse; improve our service and advertising; comply with legal obligations; and protect CoverageRoute, consumers, and partners.

How information is disclosed

When you submit a consumer coverage request, CoverageRoute may disclose the information you provided to a licensed insurance professional or agency selected to respond to that request. CoverageRoute may receive compensation from insurance professionals or agencies for access to consumer-requested lead opportunities. Depending on applicable law, some disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or similar regulated activity, and applicable privacy rights may vary by state.

We may also disclose information to service providers that help us host, secure, communicate, process payments, analyze, or operate CoverageRoute; when required by law or legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud.

Marketplace enrollment consent

A CoverageRoute lead form is a request to be connected for insurance assistance. It is not consent to enroll you in Marketplace coverage, change existing Marketplace coverage, submit a Marketplace application, or act on your behalf in the Marketplace. Any licensed professional who provides Marketplace application or enrollment assistance is responsible for obtaining and documenting the separate consumer consent required for that assistance.

Calls, email, and contact preferences

We use the contact information you provide to process and respond to your request and include your stated contact preference when routing it to a selected licensed insurance professional or agency. Choosing “Text message” as a contact preference tells the selected professional how you prefer to be contacted; it does not enroll you in a CoverageRoute SMS program. CoverageRoute consumer verification is currently delivered by email.

A licensed insurance professional or agency that receives your request may contact you using the phone number or email address you provided in response to that request, subject to applicable law and their own compliance obligations. CoverageRoute does not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties for unrelated marketing or promotional purposes.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to maintain business and compliance records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask CoverageRoute to correct or delete information where applicable, opt out of CoverageRoute marketing communications, or ask questions about how your information is used. Additional rights may apply depending on your state. Requests may be sent to support@getcoverageroute.com. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Children

CoverageRoute is not directed to children under 18 and is intended for adults seeking insurance information or licensed insurance professionals and agencies.

We may update this policy as CoverageRoute changes. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version.
